Updates and A New Series

N'cha everyone! *waves*

If anyone has noticed yet....I've put up a new page, called "Arcade," where you can find some cool online games. I've also took a few pages and sidebar stuff out, just to clean up the site a bit, and I'm planning on moving the "Characters" page as a thread in the forums. :D

With the next chapter of the WHR: Child Prodigy: I'm really stuck on Chapter Twelve. I don't know how to start it off. I have three different locations, and if you've been keeping up with the book, there's two more clues Kelly and the others have to find to rescue Amy from Ludey. I just don't know HOW they will find those clues, and how I should start off the chapter~! Daaaarn iiiiit~! DX< *continues to pound on giant "writer's block" wall in frustration*

In other news: I've been working on a bonus novel for NaNoWriMo (which I NEVER finished in 30 days). It's somewhat based on the original WHR series, but I've noticed that the book's narrator is Ludey and Selina's love child (you'll find out who Selina is in the 5th & 6th book of WHR). Then...I had a weird epiphany/idea storm (while watching "The Blues Brothers"....Just don't ask. XD) on a sequel to this bonus novel, so now I'm renaming the two books as the "Durevic Chronicles," because they focus more on Ludevec/Ludey's descendants/family/offspring. The first book is in Ludey II's POV, while the second book will be in Amy Durevic's POV (one of the fraternal twins that are born after the first book). Blaydrix and I are already discussing a plot line for a third book, where the other twin will probably be the narrator. I'm not really sure yet if there will be a third book (I haven't come up with a conflict/plot for another book yet).

Here's a brief summary of the first book of the Chronicles:

Fifteen-year-old Ludey, also known as Ludevec Durevic II, knows that feeling all too well. He’s not the average member…and in a lot of ways, too. Being the first elf-human hybrid born on Earth and the first hybrid in the World Hero Race, he resembles his deceased father way too much for the Race's liking. Although he's been raised by the Supreme Leader of the Race, Amy Magus, since he was born, Ludey still has to tolerate the Race's grudge against his lineage. After his parents' old bodies are revived with the help of his foster-father's resurrecting spells, Ludey can finally get to know to his biological parents a bit more.

But when a new crisis for the Race springs up in Magistria, having to do with hostile demons and a mysterious mastermind controlling them, Amy and Ludevec Sr. (Ludey's father) finally seem to form a odd bond of friendship and trust for each other. As Amy desperately tries to keep a war from brewing and Ludevec's existence hidden from the rest of the Race so as to keep the peace in both Magistria and the worldly organization itself, Ludey starts to notice the strange bond of friendship forming between them. But can he ever trust his father, the former evil genius that raged war against Amy and the Race for six years straight, and believe that he's really changed his ways? Or more importantly...can even the Race trust his own father, and finally join forces to eliminate an even more dangerous threat to an allied world?

I know I haven't updated the site in a LONG time. My school work has been keeping me busy; AP art class, the debate in my government class that is haunting me, college applications to send out, letter of recommendations to give to teachers, etc. Yeah...I'm getting pretty stressed out.....

But here's some new changes:

I've revised the Prologue and Chapter One. After getting some tips on storytelling from "Writer's Digest" magazine, I've made some changes to the beginning of the first book. Apparently, I was doing a lot of things wrong in the Prologue and the first chapter. XD

The Wiki app on the "Story Chapters" is driving me nuts. It doesn't recognize the quotation marks and other keys. Since I haven't updated it since Chapter 5 (...or was it 6?) I've decided to take down the "Story Chapters" page. So, from now on, you will have to read it on deviantART: The World Hero Race: Book One or, you can go on Textnovel.com to read it. I'm sorry for the inconvience, but I can no longer tolerate the way the Wiki app has been working.

I will also be putting in a new topic in the forum for story comments. That is where you can post comments on the latest chapters of the story. I may also be starting a role-playing thread once I feel like everyone has the gist of the story.

In other news:

I've recently registered on Textnovel.com, a site where writers canpost their writing, whether it's prose or poetry, or whether it's a WIPor a completed piece of writing. From there, the ones who haveregistered as readers can get updates on the stories through email AND text message! For those who aren't on my story's deviantART page, you can register on there to recieve updates, chapter by chapter, on the series! And the best thing is....Registering on Textnovel is completely FREE. I'm serious; it never asks for any biling informationor any payments. To find the story, type in "World Hero Race" as astory name in the search box. And...I'm already getting morepopularity from there, so feel free to follow me on there!

Senior Year

....Yeah, I know I haven't updated ANYTHING on the site.....My summer was pretty busy, and now that I'm in my senior year of high school, things are going to be even more busy for then next few months....especially since my academic counselors are hounding us to get our college applications, letters of recommendations, etc in before its too late. @__________@

In other news.....Apparently, I lost in the Scholastic Novel Contest. *sob* They were going to announce the winners LAST May....yeah, I didn't hear a word about whether I won throughout the entire summer. But......at least I can submit for it again next spring! There's still hope! *dances*

And.....I finally gots to tour Woodbury! 8DDDD ZOMG....it is like heaven. O_O It was a very beautiful campus, with residence halls, and a pool, and a fitness center, and its own commuter....and it is located in a very quiet community. And its funny how its about as old as my high school, and it used to be an all-girls convent school....just like my high school. XDDD

I'm in AP Studio Art this school year, and I get to take Creative Writing II next semester, so hopefully my creativity will improve my artistic and writing abilities! 8D

I shall try to upload the latest chapters in the "Story Chapters" page....if the Wiki app will work with me. It's been a bit of a pain working in that app.....>_<

Driving is fun! XDD

I got my permit last week! XD And I had my first driving lesson with an instructor yesterday....and ZOMG, I never knew it would be easier than I thought! o__o They scared us half to death during DE (Drivers' Ed)...

I got turning down in 2 days, due to being a visual learner....*shrug* I just need to work on parking and backing up. :D

...And surprisingly, my mom is allowing me to practice driving in her car, which she is often sensitive with. o__o

....That is all. Back to working on the next chapter! And chapter six and seven will be up soon!

Driver's Ed O_O

......*sigh* Taking driver's ed for a week isn't that bad.....Except for the gory films we have to see.

Frankly, I can't take a lot of gore in movies, even if it's all fake. But the films we had to see were all real....they were documentaries on what happens in fatal car accidents. Oh my god.....today they scared the crap out of us! O_O "Taco" would know what I'm talking about....I was looking down the entire time, because I can't take stuff like this, but everyone else around me was wincing and groaning at the screen. And from the way they responded to the scenes, it didn't sound good at all. "Taco" even told me that someone's brain was on the ground near a wreckage in one scene. A brain?!? Excuse my french, but holy, freaking, shit! TEH HORROR!! My eyes, my eyes~! Noooooooo!! There were disembodied limbs and stuff from all these, obviously fatal accidents!! Hell, it would take a miracle for someone to survive through something like that!

*twich*......O_O...I...don't....wanna...start....driving.....waaaaaaaaaaaaaaa~! DDDDX *curls up into ball in the traumatized by sex ed corner, which has now been renamed as traumatized by driver's ed. films corner*

Anywho....I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I might have to postpone the RPGing until later in the summer, when I believe most of the members get the overall gist of the story's plot line. Comment here if you think you get it. I just want to see how far everyone is....<3

I shall be updating the site at least once a week, with probably some new, revisde chapters. :D that is all for now. My finals are finally OVER!!! And damn that chemistry final....I hope she curves my grade, since most of my class didn't finish the exam......X(

Colleges

I went to a college fair in my city's convention center today! I gots to speak to Woodbury University, which is my dream school right now, because they haz entire department of ANIMATION, and I can get a degree in animation!!! And it's in state. Plus, they have internships to Nickelodeon, Dreamworks, etc. *squeals excitedly and faints* 8DDDDDDD I'm getting so close to fullfilling my dream of my series being published as an animated show and as novels!!! WOOHOO!!! *dances*

.....and I'm tempted to punch any representative from any unknown college that I haven't heard of before, the next time they call me!!! D8< If I've never heard of you, you're not in-state, you're not accredited, and you don't have my degrees, well then....sorry, I'm not interested, and DON'T CALL ME AGAIN!! I've already had, probably, a dozen colleges that I've never heard of before, call me in the last few weeks, saying, "Hello, we've noticed that you were searching for this blah blah degree, and we were wondering if you were interested in applying to our college....." First off, I've never heard of your college. Second: How the hell did you know my name? They asked for me by NAME!! Third: How the hell did you get my phone number? And fourth: How the hell did you know I was searching for college crap on the internet?!? That last thing is the scariest thing! Don't tell me they're spying on me through the internet!!!!!

Who are these people?!? They remind me of telemarketers!!! STOP CALLING MEH, yah freakin' annoying.........GAAAAAaaaa!!!! *starts beating up phone* The only colleges I've given my information to is one of the Art Institutes of CA, some in-state and nearby colleges, and Woodbury Univ. If they call me or send me information in the mail, that's fine. But if one more college representative calls me from an unknown, un-accredited college that doesn't meet my interests, I'm probably gonna hang up on them.

......o____o......Yeah. That's about it for now. Stupid colleges that I've never heard of...!! D<

Scholastic Novel Contest!!! 8DDDD

There was a novel contest on artandwriting.org earlier last month, and I managed to revise four of my first chapters in my first book, and mailed it by the contest's postmarked deadline: March 13. The prizes were Gold Keys for finalists, aaaand.........A "National Novel Gold Award" for the grand prize. I would be able to "work with a PROFFESIONAL EDITOR in finishing my manuscript of the first book with the possibility of being PUBLISHED." *faints* ZOMG!!! I has got to win that!!! I IZ SO CLOSE TO FULLFILLING PART OF MEH LIFE DREAM!!! *squeals excitedly and faints* 8DDD

Ludey's Birthday!!

Eh.....yeah, the title says it all. Stupid schoolwork.....

And I'm still working out the kinks on here........I still don't know when we're going to be rping....

OH~! Heads up! Ludey's b-day is coming up!!! *snickers* If he was real, he would be turning 18 on the 13 of this month. Which means, the plot line for the 6th and last book would be starting!! O_O I kinda wish it actually happened!! BUT I'M NOT SAYING ANYTHING ABOUT IT!! 'Tis going to be very exciting.....and dark. <33
